Gorewear is not reinventing the tried-and-tested Endure Gore-Tex rain jacket, but is presenting a limited edition in three modern colour variants. The jacket is just as suitable for commuting as it is for bikepacking or road bike tours. In short: for all those who appreciate the additional moisture protection of a hood.

Gorewear is known for its functional and waterproof sports and outdoor clothing. The Endure kit ensures that cyclists stay dry throughout the day. The rainwear is also suitable for bikepacking adventures thanks to its small pack size, hood and more. There is now a limited edition of the Endure jacket in three great colours.

The Gorewear Endure Gore-Tex jacket in practice

Road bike jackets usually come without hoods, which is why we have let our colleagues from BIKE test the Endure jacket.

The Endure is a lightweight jacket with a sporty cut and no frills. Its fit is close to ideal: perfectly fitting sleeves, a sufficiently long rear and a hood that fits comfortably over the helmet. - Stefan Frey, test editor

On long road bike or gravel tours in particular, the extra comfort also speaks in favour of a hood, as it prevents cold rainwater from running down the back of your neck.

Gore Wear's Endure kit proved its worth in practice at the Unknown Race. The event at the end of April involved covering a good 1000 kilometres with 10,000 metres of altitude. The weather forecast was anything but favourable. Rain, snow, wind and cold. The packing list therefore included all the rain gear in the wardrobe. Including the Endure Gore-Tex jacket, Endure Gore-Tex trousers and Endure Gore-Tex shorts. All three did what they were supposed to do. They kept out rain, snow, spray and wind. The only thing we could have dealt with beforehand was the adjustment mechanism for the hood, as the wind kept blowing it off our heads because the adjustment options hidden in the collar couldn't be felt on the bike with thick gloves. The zip fasteners are perfectly adequate for everyday use, but sometimes it wasn't easy to feel and grip them with gloves on. All in all, the Endure jacket was convincing, as were the short and long rain trousers.

The Limited Edition

Functionally, the limited edition does not differ from the regular Endure jacket. Visually, however, it does. The large Gore-Tex lettering on the left arm can only be found on the special edition. The colour palette of the special edition offers an elegant off-white, a relaxed tech beige and a muted urban grey.
