The RSE Neoshell Jacket from Sugoi in the TOUR test
Sugoi is courting cyclists' favour with a big promise: the RSE Neoshell Jacket made from the new Polartec material is, says the manufacturer, the most breathable waterproof jacket of its kind in the world.

The vapour permeability of the jacket is good even during sporty riding - but according to our practical impressions not noticeably better than comparable products with membranes. In the standard Suter test, one of the two test jackets revealed weaknesses at the seams. The bonded seams did not withstand a simulated water column of 3,000 millimetres for two minutes; on the second model, only minimal moisture was visible, but this is an indication that the jacket allows some water to pass through in constant rain. The workmanship and features are positive, with three zip pockets, reflective piping, a lined collar and Velcro straps on the cuffs to adjust the width. In a typical road bike position, the jacket bulges out in front of the chest and is a little short at the back. The jacket, which is available in blue and black, is therefore more suitable for an upright riding position.
