One should be careful with too much praise, but the new Oxygen GT AS rain jacket from Gore Bike Wear is one of the best rain jackets we have ever tested.

The jacket has already proven its qualities on a rainy crossing of the Alps and on the equally wet Paris-Brest-Paris long-distance ride. The jacket impresses with its welded, flat seams made from the new Active Shell material with very good moisture protection and a great fit, without making you sweat too much underneath. The back section is pulled down long and protects against splashing water; Gore has integrated elasticated cuffs plus zip at the arm cuffs, which reliably keep out the cold wind and keep the sleeves in position without flapping. The collar is padded and protects against draughts at the back of the neck with an elasticated waistband. And thanks to plenty of reflective material, you are easily recognised in traffic even when visibility is poor. The jacket is available in four colours and also as a ladies' version - including a zip pocket.
