Thanks to the waterproof eVent DVstorm membrane with Polartec Alpha insulation, it offers additional weather protection.

Gobik is expanding its winter clothing range with the new Superarmour jacket, which will be available worldwide from 24 November 2025. The jacket has been specially developed for cyclists who want to ride in extreme conditions. Winter conditions do not want to miss out on training. With a temperature range of -8 to +7 degrees Celsius, the product is designed for use in low and very low temperatures. The jacket is part of the Unity collection from Cold26 and was developed in collaboration with the Ineos Grenadiers WorldTour team and tested under competition conditions. Weighing 390 grams in size M, the jacket is said to offer protection from the cold without being too heavy. The Superarmour jacket combines two high-quality materials: the outer layer consists of an eVent DVstorm membrane, while Polartec Alpha insulation on the inside provides warmth.

Technical equipment for extreme conditions

According to the manufacturer, the eVent DVstorm membrane offers waterproofness of 10,000 millimetres, breathability of 20,000 g/m²/24h and is 99 per cent windproof with an air permeability of 0.2 CFM. All seams are fully taped to prevent water ingress. The 68 g/m² Polartec Alpha insulation was originally developed for the US Special Forces and is designed to allow a constant exchange of air thanks to its open fibre structure. This should help to retain body heat while excess moisture is wicked away to the outside. The YKK Vislon AquaGuard zip is equipped with a magnetic storm flap, which provides additional protection against water ingress and is designed to increase comfort at the same time. The double-layer high collar protects the neck area from the cold and wind.

Functional details for winter use

The Superarmour jacket has several well thought-out features for use in winter conditions. The sleeves are equipped with zips to allow for individual adjustment and ensure a secure fit. Two inconspicuous zips on the back provide access to the internal mesh pockets, which should be easy to reach even when wearing gloves. Reflective elements have been added at strategic points on the jacket for better visibility in low light conditions or at dusk. The fully taped seams, in combination with the waterproof membrane, should ensure that no water can penetrate while maintaining the breathability of the material. This should prevent moisture from accumulating inside the jacket, which could lead to chilling.

Company background and availability

Gobik was founded in 2010 when the cycling club of Yecla in the Spanish region of Murcia needed cycling clothing for competitions. Since then, the company has specialised in the production of customised cycling clothing and now equips several professional teams, including FDJ-SUEZ, UAE Team Emirates, Movistar Team and, since 2024, the INEOS Grenadiers Team. The Superarmour jacket will be available worldwide from 24 November 2025 via the manufacturer's website and from selected retailers (such as at Bobshop) will be available. The price was not mentioned in the information available. The jacket is the result of numerous prototypes and extensive tests carried out with both professional WorldTour riders and amateur athletes to ensure its functionality in various conditions.
