Their ingenious ventilation system with various channels and chambers, which is designed to both let sweat out and retain heat, also seems to work. We tested them on a cool spring day with temperatures between 10 and 15 degrees; the arm warmers kept us well to sufficiently warm, although the fabric feels rather thin and is not roughened on the inside. The elasticated knit also exerts defined pressure, which should reduce muscle vibration and thus prolong performance. The arms felt well supported, but there was no direct influence on performance. The effect is likely to be somewhat more pronounced with the similarly constructed compression leg warmers from X-Bionic.
