The bell is made for mountain and gravel bikers who are travelling on shared trails and hiking paths. The brass bell produces a clear sound that resonates longer than conventional bicycle bells, says Zefal. Hikers, joggers and other trail users should be alerted to approaching cyclists at an early stage.
A lever on the housing controls the function. In the upper position, the bell rings continuously and warns in areas with restricted visibility. In the lower position, the lever blocks the clapper so that the bell remains silent. You can switch between the two modes with one finger while driving.
The screw fastening uses the supplied adapters for handlebar diameters from 22.2 to 35 mm. The system fits straight MTB handlebars and road bike handlebars with a round profile cross-section. The mounting prevents the bell from twisting on uneven surfaces.
The bell measures 32 x 75 x 75 mm and weighs 106 grams. The housing is made of polyamide and the bell is made of brass. Stainless steel and thermoplastic elastomer are used for other components. The colour is black. Price: 29,95 Euro >> available here.
