Shimano presents the SHR 321 road cycling shoe, the new top model in its Custom Fit line. The most striking feature compared to the predecessor model SHR 320 is the tongue, which is now closed on one side and, according to Shimano, is intended to improve the aerodynamics of the shoe.

The large tongue is adjusted with two Velcro fasteners plus a ratchet on the tongue side. Two angles of the top strap can be adjusted with a screw. According to Shimano, the ventilated carbon sole is flatter at the front than that of comparable competitor models. The Japanese call this Dynalast, the flatter toe position is said to be ergonomically better, as it relieves the Achilles tendon and the rear leg muscles. Another new feature is the plate thread, which can be adjusted by around 15 millimetres, increasing the adjustment range. The shoe is available in white and black and comes in two different widths at a price of 390 euros. The pair should weigh just under 500 grams in size 40
