Trek Wahoo 24

The "Wahoo 24" model from Trek, released in 2022, is a high-quality children’s bike available for 524 EUR. It features a robust 24" frame made from Alpha Silver aluminium and has a total weight of just 9 kg, making it particularly light and easy to handle. The maximum load capacity is 80 kg.

The Wahoo 24’s specifications are tailored to children’s needs. Both the front and rear brakes are made of aluminium and are V-brakes, fitted with special black aluminium kids’ brake levers. The gear lever is a Shimano Altus M315 with 8 speeds, enabling simple and reliable gear changes. The fork is also made of aluminium and is fitted with a ThruSkew.

The bike is fitted with 9/16" kids’ platform pedals. The crankset is made of aluminium with a steel chainring (28 teeth) and a chain guard; the crank arm length is 152 mm. A sealed cartridge bottom bracket, 68 mm wide, ensures smooth power transfer. The cassette is a Shimano HG31 with a 11–34-tooth range and is also an 8-speed cassette.

The handlebars are made of aluminium by Bontrager, have a diameter of 31.8 mm, a rise of 15 mm and a width of 580 mm. The grips are made of Kraton and are specially designed for children’s hands. The stem is a Bontrager Comp, also with a diameter of 31.8 mm, Blendr-compatible, with a 7-degree angle and a length of 60 mm. The semi-integrated headset is from VP and has a size of 1 1/8".

The Wahoo 24’s tyres measure 24 x 1.95 and feature a versatile tread pattern suitable for a variety of surfaces. The saddle is padded and specifically designed for the 24-inch children’s frame. The seatpost is made from Bontrager Comp 6061 aluminium, has a diameter of 27.2 mm, an offset of 8 mm and a length of 250 mm.

The bike is supplied in packaging measuring 22 mm wide, 68 mm high and 122 mm long, and is known as the TREK WAHOO 24.
