Trek Madone SL 7 Gen 7

The "Madone SL 7 Gen 7" model from Trek, released in 2024, is a state-of-the-art road bike designed for ambitious cyclists. Priced at EUR 7,999, this bike offers a wide range of technical and functional features that maximise both performance and comfort.

The Madone SL 7 Gen 7’s frame is made from 500 Series OCLV Carbon and features the aerodynamic KVF (Kammtail Virtual Foil) tube profile. The IsoFlow seat tube and hidden cable routing contribute to improved aerodynamics, whilst the aerodynamic 3S chain guide and T47 bottom bracket ensure optimum power transfer. The flat-mount disc brake mounts and the 142 x 12 mm thru-axle round off the well-thought-out frame design. The maximum permissible weight is 125 kg, and the bike itself weighs just 8 kg.

The Madone SL 7 Gen 7 is fitted with Shimano Ultegra hydraulic disc brakes, featuring Shimano CL800 Centre Lock 160 mm rotors at both the front and rear. Shifting is handled by Shimano Ultegra R8170 Di2 shifters with 12 speeds, complemented by a Shimano Ultegra R8150 Di2 front derailleur in a brazed-on version.

The Madone SL 7 Gen 7’s cockpit comprises a Bontrager RSL Aero handlebar made from OCLV carbon with a clamp diameter of 31.8 mm, Di2 cable routing, a reach of 80 mm, a drop of 124 mm and a width of 42 cm. The stem is a Trek RCS Pro with a -7-degree angle and a length of 90 mm.

The wheelset consists of Bontrager Aeolus Pro 51 wheels made from OCLV carbon, which are tubeless-ready and feature a 100 x 12 mm thru-axle at the front and a 142 x 12 mm thru-axle at the rear. The saddle is a Bontrager Aeolus Comp with steel rails and a width of 145 mm, mounted on a Madone Aero carbon seatpost with an integrated rear light mount and a 0 mm offset.
