Trek Madone SL 7 AXS

The 2022 "Madone SL 7 AXS" model from Trek is a high-quality road bike designed for ambitious cyclists. It is available at a price of 7,399 EUR. The frame is made from 500 Series OCLV Carbon with a KVF (Kammtail Virtual Foil) tube profile and features an adjustable IsoSpeed on the top tube. The hidden cable routing and the aerodynamic 3S chain guide contribute to improved aerodynamics. The T47 bottom bracket and the flat-mount disc brake mounts round off the technical features. The frame is DuoTrap S-compatible and features a 142 x 12 mm thru-axle. The maximum permissible weight is 125 kg, whilst the bike itself weighs 8 kg.

The braking system consists of SRAM Rival hydraulic disc brakes at both the front and rear, with SRAM CenterLine X brake discs featuring a Centre Lock mount and rounded edges. Both discs have a diameter of 160 mm. The gear system is controlled by the SRAM Force eTap AXS, a 12-speed system. The front derailleur is also a soldered-on SRAM Force eTap AXS unit.

The Madone SL 7 AXS’s fork is a full-carbon fork with a KVF profile and a tapered carbon steerer tube. It also features hidden cable routing and a flat-mount disc brake mount, as well as carbon dropouts and a 12 x 100 mm thru-axle. The crankset is an SRAM Force AXS Power Meter with a 48/35-tooth configuration and a crank arm length of 170 mm. The bottom bracket is an SRAM DUB with a T47 thread.

The cassette is an SRAM Force XG-1270 with a 10–33-tooth configuration for the 12-speed system. The drivetrain is also supplied by SRAM Force. The handlebars are Bontrager Elite Aero VR-CF made of aluminium, with a width of 40 cm, a reach of 93 mm and a drop of 123 mm. The stem is a Bontrager Pro with a length of 90 mm, a diameter of 31.8 mm and an angle of 7 degrees.

The tyres are Bontrager R3s in size 700 x 25, fitted to a Bontrager Aeolus Pro 51 wheelset made from OCLV carbon, which is tubeless-ready and has a rim height of 51 mm. The saddle is a Bontrager Aeolus Comp with steel rails and a width of 145 mm, whilst the seatpost is an aerodynamic internal carbon seatpost with an integrated rear light mount and a 5 mm offset.
