Trek Domane SLR 9 Gen 3

The “Domane SLR 9 Gen 3” model from Trek, released in 2022, is a state-of-the-art road bike characterised by its advanced technology and high-quality components. The price for this model is 12,099 EUR.

The frame of the Domane SLR 9 Gen 3 is made from 700 Series OCLV Carbon and features a front IsoSpeed and an adjustable rear IsoSpeed, which ensure enhanced riding comfort. The frame is also equipped with an integrated storage compartment, a tapered head tube, internal cable routing, a 3S chain guide and DuoTrap S compatibility. Mudguard eyelets, a flat-mount disc brake mount and a 142 x 12 mm thru-axle round off the frame’s specifications. The maximum permissible weight is 125 kg, whilst the bike itself weighs just 7 kg.

The braking system consists of Shimano Dura-Ace hydraulic disc brakes, with Shimano MT900 Centre Lock disc mounts and 160 mm brake discs fitted to both the front and rear. The gear system is controlled by Shimano Dura-Ace R9270 Di2 shifters with 12 speeds. The front derailleur is a Shimano Dura-Ace R9250 Di2 in the brazed-on version with a down-swing design.

The handlebar setup comprises the Bontrager Pro IsoCore VR-SF, 44 cm wide, and a Bontrager RSL Carbon stem with a clamp diameter of 31.8 mm, a 7-degree angle and a length of 110 mm. The tyres are Bontrager R3 in size 700 x 32, whilst the wheelset consists of Bontrager Aeolus RSL 37 wheels. These wheels are made from OCLV carbon, are tubeless-ready and have a rim height of 37 mm, as well as 100 x 12 mm thru-axles at the front and 142 x 12 mm at the rear.

The saddle is a Bontrager Verse Pro with carbon rails and a width of 145 mm, whilst the seatpost is an internal carbon seatpost from Bontrager, which features an integrated rear light mount and a 20 mm offset in the long version.

The bike’s packaging dimensions are 21 mm wide, 119 mm high and 189 mm long. Further geometric data include a reach of 39 mm, a stack of 66 mm, a seat tube length of 59 mm, a top tube length of 59 mm, a head tube angle of 72 degrees, a seat tube angle also of 72 degrees, a head tube length of 24 mm, a chainstay length of 42 mm, a standover height of 84 mm and a wheelbase of 104 mm.
