Trek Domane SLR 9 AXS Gen 3

The 2022 Trek Domane SLR 9 AXS Gen 3 is a state-of-the-art road bike that stands out for its outstanding technology and high-quality components. Priced at 13,099 EUR, it is aimed at ambitious cyclists who value top performance and comfort.

The frame is made from 700 Series OCLV Carbon and features both front and adjustable rear IsoSpeed, ensuring optimum damping. The integrated storage compartment and internal cable routing contribute to a clean, uncluttered appearance. The frame is also fitted with a 3S chain guide, DuoTrap S compatibility and mudguard eyelets. The flat-mount disc brake mounts and the 142 x 12 mm thru-axle round off the package. The maximum rider weight is 125 kg, whilst the bike itself weighs just 8 kg.

Braking performance is provided by SRAM Red eTap AXS hydraulic disc brakes with CenterLine X rotors (160 mm) at both the front and rear, which impress with their rounded edges and Centre Lock mount. The drivetrain consists of a SRAM RED D1 12-speed system, complemented by the SRAM RED eTap AXS shift lever and front derailleur. The rear derailleur is also a SRAM RED eTap AXS.

The crankset is a SRAM RED AXS with a power metre and a gear ratio of 46/33 teeth, whilst the cassette is a SRAM XG-1290 with a range of 10–33 teeth.

The handlebars are Bontrager Pro IsoCore VR-CF made from OCLV carbon with internal Di2 cable routing, a reach of 93 mm, a drop of 123 mm and a width of 40 cm. The stem is a Bontrager XXX with Blendr compatibility, a diameter of 31.8 mm, a 7-degree angle and a length of 90 mm.

The tyres are Bontrager R4 320 Handmade Clinchers featuring Hard-Case Lite technology and measuring 700 x 28C. The wheelset consists of Bontrager Aeolus RSL 37 rims made from OCLV carbon, which are tubeless-ready and have a rim depth of 37 mm. The thru-axles measure 100 x 12 mm at the front and 142 x 12 mm at the rear.

The saddle is a Bontrager Verse Pro with carbon rails and a width of 155 mm, whilst the seatpost is an internal carbon seatpost from Bontrager with an integrated rear light mount and a 20 mm offset.
