Trek Domane SL 4

The 2021 "Domane SL 4" model from the Trek brand is a high-quality road bike that is characterised by its advanced technology and excellent equipment. With a price tag of 2499 EUR, this bike offers a wide range of features that will appeal to both ambitious recreational athletes and serious road cyclists.

The frame of the Domane SL 4 is made from 500 Series OCLV Carbon and features front and rear IsoSpeed for optimum damping and comfort. The integrated BITS storage compartment and internal cable routing contribute to a tidy and aerodynamic appearance. The Micro Adjust seat tower allows precise adjustment of the riding position, while the 3S chain guide and DuoTrap S compatibility offer additional functionality. Mudguard eyelets and a flat mount disc brake mount round off the frame's features. The permissible total weight is 125 kg and the bike itself weighs just 9 kg.

The Shimano Tiagra hydraulic disc brakes front and rear (Shimano RT70, centre lock, 160 mm) ensure reliable braking performance in all conditions. The Bontrager Supertack Performance bar tape grips offer excellent grip. The Bontrager Elite stem is Blendr-compatible and has a clamping diameter of 31.8 mm, an angle of 7 degrees and a length of 110 mm.

The Bontrager R1 Hard-Case Lite tyres (700 x 32C) offer good puncture protection and durability. The Bontrager Affinity Disc wheelset is tubeless ready and has sealed bearings and Centre Lock disc mounts. The Bontrager Arvada Comp saddle with steel rails and a width of 138 mm and the Bontrager seat post with internal carbon seat tower attachment and integrated rear light holder ensure comfort and stability.

The geometry of the Domane SL 4 is well thought out: With a reach of 39 mm, a stack of 66 mm, a seat tube length of 59 mm, a top tube length of 59 mm and a head tube angle of 72 degrees and a seat tube angle of 72 degrees as well, the bike offers a balanced riding position. The head tube length is 24 mm, the chainstay length is 42 mm, the standover height is 84 mm and the wheelbase measures 104 mm in total.
