Trek Domane AL 3 Gen 3

The "Domane AL 3 Gen 3" model from Trek, released in 2023, is a versatile road bike available at a price of 1299 EUR. The frame is made from 100 Series Alpha Aluminium and features a tapered head tube, internal cable routing and mudguard mounts. The frame is also DuoTrap S-compatible and features a flat-mount disc brake mount with a 142 x 12 mm axle spacing. The bike’s maximum load capacity is 125 kg, whilst it weighs 10 kg.

The braking system consists of mechanical Tektro C550 2-piston disc brakes on both wheels, each with a disc diameter of 160 mm. The shift levers are Shimano Sora R3000, 9-speed, and the front derailleur is also from the Shimano Sora R3000 series with a clamp diameter of 31.8 mm. The fork is a Domane AL made of carbon, featuring a tapered aluminium steerer tube and internal brake cable routing. It also has mudguard eyelets, a flat-mount disc brake mount and a 12 x 100 mm thru-axle.

The crankset is a Shimano Sora R3000 with a compact 50/34 gear ratio and a crank arm length of 175 mm. The cassette is a Shimano Sora HG400 with a 11–32-tooth range, also 9-speed. The drivetrain is complemented by a Shimano Sora HG53 chain.

The cockpit consists of a Bontrager Comp VR-C aluminium handlebar with a clamp diameter of 31.8 mm, a reach of 100 mm, a drop of 124 mm and a width of 44 cm. The stem is a Bontrager Elite, also with a clamp diameter of 31.8 mm, Blendr-compatible and featuring a 7-degree angle with a length of 100 mm. The headset is an integrated FSA headset with sealed cartridge bearings, 1 1/8" at the top and 1.5" at the bottom.

The wheelset consists of Bontrager Paradigm Tubeless Ready rims with an internal width of 21 mm and 24 spoke holes, as well as Formula RX-512 and RX-142 hubs. The saddle is a Bontrager Verse Comp with steel rails and a width of 145 mm. The seatpost is a Bontrager Comp made from 6061 aluminium, with a diameter of 27.2 mm, an offset of 8 mm and a length of 330 mm.

The packaging dimensions are 24 mm wide, 77 mm high and 133 mm long.
