Stevens 8X Gent

The "8X Gent" model from Stevens, released in 2022, is a high-quality trekking bike available at a price of 1,899 EUR. The bike’s frame is made from SL 6061 TB aluminium, which ensures high stability and low weight.

Both the front and rear brakes are fitted with Shimano Deore XT BR-M8100 calipers, which, in combination with the Shimano BL-T8100 brake levers, ensure reliable braking performance. The brake discs measure 180 mm at the front (SM-RT70) and 160 mm at the rear (SM-RT70) to provide optimum braking force distribution.

The Shimano Deore XT Trekking Shadow RD-T8000-SGS system is used for gear changes, operated by the Shimano Deore XT Trekking SL-T8000 shift levers. The front derailleur is also a Shimano Deore XT Trekking FD-T8000-HL3, which enables precise and smooth gear changes. The crankset consists of the Shimano Deore XT Trekking FC-T8000 with a 48-36-26-tooth configuration, whilst the cassette is a Shimano CS-M771, 10-speed.

The bike’s fork is an SR Suntour NRX-E RLR Air, which provides comfortable suspension. The pedals are ATB Alu Comp Reflex, ensuring good power transfer and safety. The bottom bracket is a 73 mm BSA.

The handlebars are Oxygen Scorpo, 640 mm wide, and are mounted on an Oxygen Scorpo stem. The headset is a STEVENS AH Taper 1 1/8"–1 1/2", which ensures precise steering.

The rims are Oxygen RM-X21, 21 x 622, at both the front and rear, fitted with Schwalbe Smart Sam Performance tyres in size 42-622. The hubs are a Shimano Deore XT HB-M8010 at the front and a Shimano Deore XT FH-M8000 at the rear, ensuring durable and low-maintenance performance.

The saddle is an Oxygen Havoc, mounted on an Oxygen Scorpo seatpost. A chain guard ensures that the chain remains secure and clean.
