Stevens 7X Lite Tour Gent

The "7X Lite Tour Gent" model from Stevens, released in 2023, is a high-quality trekking bike priced at 1599 EUR. The frame is made from SL 6061 TB aluminium, which gives the bike a robust yet lightweight structure. Weighing 13 kg and with a maximum load capacity of 130 kg, the bike offers a balanced combination of stability and lightness.

The bike’s braking system comprises Shimano BL-T6000 brake levers and Shimano BR-M6000 disc brakes at the front and rear. The front brake disc measures 180 mm and the rear 160 mm, ensuring reliable braking performance. The gear system consists of a Shimano Deore XT Trekking Shadow RD-T8000-SGS with 30 speeds and is operated by Shimano Deore SL-M6000 shift levers. The front derailleur is a Shimano Deore Trekking FD-T6000-H3L, which ensures precise and smooth gear-changing performance.

The bike’s fork is a STEVENS S-Lite aluminium fork, which provides additional stability and comfort. Lighting is provided by a B+M IQ-XS Friendly T front light and a B+M Shine Evo rear light, powered by a Shutter Precision PL-8 dynamo. The bike is fitted with ATB Alu Comp Reflex pedals and features a BSA 73 mm bottom bracket as well as an Oxygen Scorpo crankset with 48-38-28T chainrings.

The cassette system is a Shimano CS-HG500, 10-speed, which provides a wide range of gear ratios. The handlebars and stem are both from Oxygen Scorpo, with the handlebars measuring 640 mm in width. The headset is a STEVENS AH Taper 1 1/8"-1 1/2", which contributes to stability and steering precision.

The rims are Oxygen RM-23 Disc, measuring 23 x 622, and the tyres are Schwalbe G-One Allround Performance, measuring 40-622, fitted to both the front and rear. The front hub is a Shutter Precision PL-8 Dynamo, whilst the rear hub is a Formula CL-26. The saddle is an Oxygen Havoc, mounted on an Oxygen Scorpo seatpost.

Additional features include SKS mudguards, a Pletscher Comp kickstand and a Racktime Shine Evo RTA luggage rack, which round off the bike and make it an ideal companion for longer tours.
