Scott Sub Active eRIDE Men

The "Sub Active eRIDE Men" model from Scott, released in 2024, is a versatile e-bike that is equally suited to everyday use and longer rides. Priced at 2799 EUR, the bike offers a wide range of high-quality components and innovative features.

The frame is made from 6061 alloy with custom butted tubing and an integrated Bosch 400Wh battery, which not only ensures stability but also gives the bike an attractive appearance. The internal cable routing further contributes to a tidy appearance. The bike is designed for riders between 190 cm and 200 cm tall.

Braking performance is provided by Shimano BR-M200 disc brakes at the front and rear, combined with SM-RT10 rotors (180 mm at the front, 160 mm at the rear). The drivetrain consists of a Shimano CUES ARDU4000GS 9-speed system, controlled by Shimano CUES ASLU40009RC shift levers. The drivetrain is supported by a KMC eGLIDE chain, whilst the cassette is a Shimano CS-LG3009 11-41T.

The SUNTOUR NEX-E25 DS fork, with 63 mm of travel, provides additional comfort on uneven terrain. An Axa Compactline 35 front light and an Axa rear light are fitted, which improve visibility and safety on the road.

The bike is fitted with Syncros SP-828 pedals, a Miranda crankset (172.5 mm) and a Syncros Capilano saddle. The Syncros 3.0 seatpost has a diameter of 31.6 mm and a length of 350 mm. The hubs are Shimano HBMT200B (front) and Shimano FHMT200BB41B (rear), both with 32 spoke holes and quick-release skewers.

Additional features include wide Curana extruded mudguards, an Ursus Mooi centre stand and an Abus 4750L ART-approved lock with a battery lock. The Racktime luggage rack with SnapIt 2.0 spring clip rounds off the specification.

The Sub Active eRIDE Men is powered by a Bosch Active motor, which provides assistance up to 25 km/h in the EU (up to 20 mph in the USA). The battery has a capacity of 400 Wh and is charged via a 2A charger. The Purion display offers simple and intuitive control of the electric assistance.

With a gross weight of 33,660 g, the bike offers a good balance between stability and riding comfort. The frame geometry comprises a seat tube length of 560 mm, a top tube length of 640 mm, a head tube angle of 71 degrees, a seat tube angle of 75 degrees and a chainstay length of 480 mm.
