Scott Spark 950

The 2024 Scott Spark 950 is a versatile mountain bike that stands out for its well-thought-out features and robust construction. The frame is made from Spark Alloy SL 6011 and incorporates suspension technology that offers a flexible pivot design. An adjustable head angle and the Syncros Cable Integration System ensure clean cable routing. The bottom bracket is a BB92, and the frame features a UDH interface as well as a 12x148mm axle with a 55mm chainline. The bike’s maximum load capacity is 128 kg, whilst it weighs 14 kg itself.

The Spark 950 is suitable for riders between 180 cm and 190 cm tall. It is fitted with Shimano MT501 disc brakes at the front and rear, and the brake discs are Shimano SM-RT54 CL with a diameter of 180 mm. The drivetrain consists of a SRAM GX Eagle 12-speed system, controlled by a SRAM NX Eagle trigger shifter. Front suspension is provided by a RockShox Pike RL3 Air fork with 130 mm of travel and a Custom Charger 3-Mode damper, whilst the rear shock is a RockShox Deluxe Select RL3 Trunnion with 120 mm of travel.

The drivetrain comprises an SRAM X1 Eagle DUB crankset with a 32T chainring and an SRAM SX-PG1210 cassette with a gear range of 11–50T. The handlebars are Syncros Fraser 2.0 DC Alloy, 760 mm wide with an 8-degree back sweep, combined with Syncros Performance XC lock-on grips. The stem is a Syncros DC 3.0 with a Syncros Cable Integration System and a 0-degree angle.

The wheelsets consist of Syncros X-30SE rims with 32 spokes and a width of 30 mm. The tyres are Schwalbe Wicked Will in size 29x2.4", fitted to both the front and rear. The hubs are Formula CL-811 at the front and Formula CL-148S at the rear.

The saddle is a Syncros Tofino 2.5 Regular, mounted on a Syncros Duncan Dropper Post 2.0 seatpost, which offers 150 mm of Vario adjustment. A Syncros Fork Fender is fitted for protection.

The bike’s geometry comprises a reach of 470 mm, a stack of 618 mm, a seat tube length of 490 mm, a top tube length of 613 mm and a head tube angle of 66 degrees. The seat tube angle is 76 degrees, the head tube length is 105 mm and the chainstay length is 438 mm. The bottom bracket drop is 44 mm, the standover height is 778 mm, the fork offset is 130 mm and the wheelbase measures 1205 mm in total. The bottom bracket height is 332 mm.
