Scott Scale RC 600 Pro

The "Scale RC 600 Pro" model from Scott, released in 2024, is a versatile and high-performance bike designed for young riders. Priced at 1299 EUR, it offers high-quality components suitable for both beginners and more experienced riders.

The bike’s frame is made from JR26 Susp Disc light, Alloy 6061 and features a curved top tube (Bended TT), a semi-integrated head tube (Semi int. HT) as well as SCOTT dropouts and IS standard. The fork is an RST F1RST 26" 100-9 Air, which is specially tuned for children and offers 80 mm of travel, ensuring a comfortable ride.

The braking system consists of Shimano BR-MT500 brakes at both the front and rear, combined with Shimano BL-MT501 brake levers. The brake discs are Shimano SM-RT56 with a diameter of 160 mm on both wheels. This configuration ensures reliable and efficient braking performance in a variety of conditions.

The derailleur is a Microshift ADVENT super short cage clutch with an adjustable ratchet clutch, offering 9 speeds. The shifter is a Microshift ADVENT Pro with a quick-release mechanism and a rubberised lever for a better grip. The cassette is a Microshift ADVENT H-Series with an 11–38T 9-speed range, and the drivetrain is completed by a KMC X9 chain.

Other notable components include the Prowheel BOOM-32P crankset with a 32T aluminium crank and a PVC chain guard, as well as the Feimin bottom bracket with a BB68 cartridge and square taper. The bike is fitted with Wellgo J345 pedals with reflectors, which have been specially designed for children.

The handlebars are LEADTEC Kids Riser Bars made from double-walled aluminium, with a width of 580 mm and a backsweep of 9°. The grips are Syncros Grip Kids D19mm with a lock-on function. The stem is also by LEADTEC and has a length of 40 mm with an angle of +/-7°.

The headset is a Feimin FP-H809 with sealed bearings, which contributes to the bike’s durability and stability. The rims are Alexrims MD19 for disc brakes, and the spokes are 15G in black. The tyres are Schwalbe Rocket Ron Evolution ADDIX Speed, sized 26x2.35", fitted to both the front and rear.

The hubs are by Formula, with a DC-140-F at the front and a DC-38-R at the rear, both with quick-release skewers (QR). The saddle is a Syncros Future Pro, and the seatpost is made of 2014 aluminium with a diameter of 27.2 mm and a length of 300 mm.

The bike’s gross weight is 18140 g, making it a lightweight yet robust model. The Scott Scale RC 600 Pro is available in one size and is aimed at young riders who value quality and performance.
