The "Scale 980 black" bike model from the "Scott" brand, released in 2024, is a versatile mountain bike characterised by its robust construction and high-quality components. The frame is made from Scale Alloy 6061 Custom Butted Tubing and features the Syncros Cable Integration System. The tapered headtube and BB92 bottom bracket shell contribute to the bike’s stability and efficiency. Weighing in at 14 kg, it is light enough for challenging rides, whilst the maximum rider weight of 128 kg ensures high load-bearing capacity.

The braking system consists of Shimano MT200 disc brakes at both the front and rear, with 180 mm front and 160 mm rear rotors (Shimano SM-RT10 CL). The wheelsets consist of Syncros X-27 rims with 32 spokes and are fitted with Maxxis Rekon Race tyres in size 2.4". The hubs are from Formula: the CL-51 model at the front and the CL-3341M model at the rear, featuring Micro Spline technology.

The saddle is a Syncros Belcarra Regular 2.5, mounted on a Syncros seatpost measuring 31.6 x 400 mm. The bike is suitable for riders between 170 cm and 180 cm tall.
