Scott Scale 700

The 2024 Scott Scale 700 is a high-performance mountain bike designed for ambitious riders. Priced at 1399 EUR, it offers high-quality features and robust components. The frame is constructed from Scale 27.5" 6061 alloy custom butted tubing and features a QR 5x135mm system, a tapered headtube and a BB92 bottom bracket. The internal cable routing ensures a clean, tidy look, and the replaceable derailleur hanger enhances the frame’s durability. The maximum load capacity is 70 kg, whilst the bike itself weighs just 11 kg.

Braking performance is provided by Shimano BR-MT500 brakes at the front and rear, operated by Shimano BL-MT501 brake levers. The brake discs are also from Shimano – the SM-RT10 model – measuring 160 mm at both the front and rear. The 12-speed drivetrain is from the SRAM NX Eagle series, featuring a SRAM SX Eagle trigger shifter. The fork is a Manitou Markhor 27.5 with 100 mm of travel and a tapered steerer tube, specially tuned for young riders.

The bottom bracket is an integrated SRAM DUB PF with a shell width of 41x92 mm. The crankset is a SRAM SX Eagle DUB with a length of 155 mm and a 30T chainring. The cassette is an SRAM SX / PG1210 with a range of 11–50 teeth. The drivetrain is completed by an SRAM CN SX Eagle chain.

The handlebars are Syncros T-Bar made from 6061 alloy, flat-shaped with a 9° backsweep and a width of 680 mm. The grips are Syncros Youth 115. The stem is made from Syncros 6061 alloy and has a diameter of 31.8 mm, suitable for the tapered head tube (1 1/8") with a 7° angle. The headset is a Syncros OE Press Fit, also tapered (1.5"–1 1/8").

The wheelsets consist of Syncros rims with 32 spokes and are fitted with Maxxis Ikon tyres in size 27.5x2.2", which feature a 60 TPI casing and are foldable. The hubs are Formula, model CL51 at the front and CL52 at the rear, both with quick-release (QR) mechanisms. The saddle is a Syncros Future Pro, mounted on a Syncros seatpost measuring 31.6x350mm.

With a gross weight of 22,000 g (including packaging), the Scott Scale 700 XS offers a good balance between weight and stability, making it ideal for young mountain bike enthusiasts looking for a reliable and high-performance bike.
