Scott Roxter 16

The "Roxter 16" model from Scott, released in 2024, is a sturdy and lightweight children’s bike, available at a price of 349 EUR. The bike features a JR16 V-Brake frame made from 6061 alloy with a curved top tube and a semi-integrated head tube, as well as a rigid fork. The maximum load capacity is 50 kg, whilst the bike itself weighs just 7 kg.

The Roxter 16 is fitted with V-brakes at both the front and rear, operated via Tektro Kids’ brake levers. It is a single-speed bike with a rigid HiTen fork typical of BMX bikes and V-brake pivots. The pedals are specially designed for children and fitted with reflectors. The bottom bracket is made of steel with loose ball bearings, and the crankset is a Prowheel with 28 teeth and a length of 102 mm. The rear sprocket is a 16-tooth freewheel sprocket, and the drivetrain uses a KMC S1 chain.

The handlebars are aluminium Kids Riser Bars, 460 mm wide with a 20 mm rise. The grips are Syncros Toddler grips, which are suitable for small hands. The stem is also made of aluminium and measures 30 mm with a clamp width of 25.4 mm. The semi-integrated headset has a diameter of 1 1/8".

The rims of the Roxter 16 are made from black aluminium and each have 20 spoke holes. The spokes are black and 15G UCP gauge. The tyres are Kenda K841 Contact in size 16x2.25", fitted to both the front and rear. The front hub is a KT-183F with 20 spoke holes and nut fastening, whilst the rear hub is a KT-A13R, also with 20 spoke holes and a 16-tooth freehub.

The saddle is a Syncros Roxter JR16, mounted on an aluminium seatpost measuring 26.8x200 mm. A handy kickstand is also included. The bike is supplied in packaging measuring 21 mm wide, 55 mm high and 94 mm long, and has a gross weight of 10720 g.
