Scott Metrix 30 EQ

The "Metrix 30 EQ" model from Scott, released in 2024, is a versatile and robust bike that is suitable for both everyday use and longer rides. Priced at 1299 EUR, it offers a balanced combination of performance and comfort.

The Metrix 30 EQ’s frame is made from Metrix Disc / 6061 D.Butted Alloy and features endurance geometry, which allows for a comfortable and efficient riding position. The frame is also fitted with a replaceable derailleur hanger and a Syncros mudguard kit, making maintenance and customisation easier. The bike’s maximum load capacity is 120 kg, whilst it weighs 11 kg, making it a lightweight yet sturdy companion.

The model is suitable for riders between 165 cm and 175 cm in height. The braking system consists of Shimano BR-UR300 hydraulic disc brakes at both the front and rear, combined with Shimano BL-MT201 brake levers. The front brake disc measures 180 mm and the rear 160 mm, ensuring reliable braking performance.

The Metrix 30 EQ’s gear system is fitted with Shimano Claris RD-R2000-GS components and offers 16 gears. The shift levers are Shimano SL-R2000, whilst the front derailleur is a Shimano Claris FD-R2000. The crankset consists of a Shimano FC-RS2000 with a gear ratio of 50x34T, and the cassette is a Shimano CS-HG50 with 8 speeds and a range of 11–32T. The drivetrain is completed by a KMC X8 chain.

The fork is a Metrix Alloy Disc with an eccentric aluminium steerer tube measuring 1 1/4"–1 1/2". The bottom bracket is a Shimano BB-ES300. The handlebars are Syncros Flat-Bar FL2.0 with a width of 620 mm, whilst the stem is a Syncros RR2.5 with a length of 93 mm and a diameter of 31.8 mm. The headset is an Acros AIF-1113.

The Syncros Race 24 Disc rims have 28 spokes each at the front and rear and are fitted with Schwalbe G-One Allround tyres in size 700x40C. The hubs are Formula Team CL Disc 28 H models. The saddle is a Syncros Tofino Regular 2.5, mounted on a Syncros RR2.5 seatpost measuring 27.2/300 mm.

The bike is also fitted with a Syncros mudguard kit, making it ideal for use in a variety of weather conditions. The packaging dimensions are 27 mm wide, 88 mm high and 170 mm long, with a gross weight of 18080 g.
