Scott Contessa Active eRIDE 920

The "Contessa Active eRIDE 920" model from Scott, released in 2024, is a state-of-the-art e-bike designed specifically for women and boasting a host of technical features. The frame is made from 6061 aluminium with custom butted tubing, ensuring high stability and durability. In addition, the frame is fitted with an integrated, removable Bosch battery and internal cable routing, giving the design a sleek and tidy appearance. The maximum permissible weight is 128 kg, whilst the bike itself weighs 25 kg.

The braking system comprises Shimano BR-MT200 disc brakes at both the front and rear, each with 180 mm rotors (SM-RT30 CL at the front and RT-EM300 CL at the rear). These ensure reliable braking performance in a variety of conditions. The drivetrain is a 12-speed SRAM NX Eagle, operated via a SRAM SX Eagle Single Click shifter. This enables precise and rapid gear changes.

The front fork is an SR Suntour XCM34 Coil with 120 mm of travel and a remote lockout, which provides additional comfort on uneven terrain. The fork has a 15x110 mm QR axle and a tapered head tube, which contributes to stiffness and control.

Bosch Light cables are pre-installed for both the front and rear lights. The crankset consists of an FSA CK-220 with a length of 165 mm, whilst the cassette is an SRAM PG1210 with a gear range of 11–50T.

The handlebars are Syncros 3.0, 720 mm wide, with a 12 mm rise and a 9-degree backsweep. The grips are Syncros Women Comfort lock-on grips, which provide extra comfort. The stem is also a Syncros 3.0 with a 7-degree angle.

The wheelsets consist of Syncros MD30 rims, which are tubeless-ready and feature 32 spokes. The tyres are Kenda Booster, measuring 29x2.6" with a 30 TPI casing, fitted to both the front and rear. The hubs are Formula CL-811 at the front and Formula CL-148S at the rear.

The saddle is a Syncros Savona 2.5 V-Concept, mounted on a Syncros 3.0 seatpost with a diameter of 31.6 mm. The bike is powered by a Bosch Performance CX motor with a maximum speed of 25 km/h in the EU (20 mph internationally). Power is supplied by a Bosch PowerTube battery with a capacity of 625 Wh, which is charged via a 4A charger. The display consists of a Bosch LED Remote and an Intuvia 100.

The bike’s geometry features a reach of 433 mm, a stack of 653 mm and a seat tube length of 480 mm. The head tube angle is 68 degrees and the seat tube angle is 74 degrees. The head tube length is 130 mm, the chainstay length is 480 mm and the bottom bracket drop is 57 mm. Other dimensions include a fork offset of 42 mm, a top tube height of 800 mm, a fork installation height of 530 mm, a crank length of 165 mm and a wheelbase of 1202 mm. The bottom bracket height is 320 mm.

The bike is suitable for riders between 175 cm and 185 cm tall and is priced at 3799 EUR. It offers a balanced blend of performance, comfort and versatility, ideal for discerning female riders.
