Scott Contessa Active 50 green

The "Contessa Active 50 green" model from Scott, released in 2024, is a versatile mountain bike available for 699 EUR. The bike features a frame from the Contessa Active 700/900 series, made from robust 6061 alloy custom tubing. The frame is designed for a 135 mm OLD and a BSA73 bottom bracket; it also features internal cable routing for the gears and a replaceable derailleur hanger. The maximum load capacity is 128 kg, whilst the bike itself weighs in at 14 kg.

The bike is optimised for female riders between 170 cm and 180 cm in height. Braking performance is provided by Clarks Clout hydraulic disc brakes at both the front and rear, each with 160 mm brake discs. The derailleur is a Shimano Tourney RD-TX800 with 16 speeds and is operated via Shimano SL-M315 shift levers with gear indicator. The front derailleur is a Shimano FD-M315-TS with a 31.8 mm clamp.

The Suntour XCE28 fork offers 100 mm of travel, providing sufficient suspension on uneven terrain. The pedals are Feimin FP-873-ZU and the bottom bracket is a Feimin FP.B908N with a square taper (BB73). The crankset is a Prowheel TM-CY01 with 36x22-tooth chainrings and a chain guard. The cassette is a Sunrace CSM55 8AV with a 11–34-tooth range, whilst the drivetrain uses a KMC Z8.3 chain.

The handlebars are HL MTB-AL-312BT, 680 mm wide with a 12 mm rise, fitted with Syncros Women Pro grips. The TDS-C301-8FOV stem is 60 mm long and has a 10-degree angle. The headset is a Syncros OE Press Fit with a diameter of 1 1/8 inches (OD 50 mm / ID 44 mm).

The rims are Syncros X-20 Disc with 32 spokes, both front and rear, and are finished in black. The tyres are Kenda Booster, 2.4 inches wide with a thread count of 30 TPI. The hubs are Formula DC-19 FQR Disc at the front and Formula DC-25 8s RQR Disc at the rear.

The saddle is a Syncros Savona 2.5 V-Concept, mounted on an HL SP C207 seatpost with a diameter of 31.6 mm and a length of 350 mm, finished in black.

The bike’s geometry comprises a reach of 419 mm, a stack of 612 mm, a seat tube length of 440 mm and a top tube length of 600 mm. The head tube angle is 69 degrees, the seat tube angle is 74 degrees, the head tube length is 110 mm and the chainstay length is 450 mm. The bottom bracket drop is 60 mm, the fork offset is 51 mm and the standover height is 750 mm. The fork installation height is 501 mm and the wheelbase measures 1102 mm in total. The bottom bracket height is 316 mm.

The bicycle is supplied in packaging measuring 21 mm wide, 83 mm high and 144 mm long, and has a gross weight of 19,700 g.
