Scott Contessa 26 disc

The "Contessa 26 disc" model from Scott, launched in 2024, is a versatile and high-performance bike designed specifically for young female cyclists. Priced at 699 EUR, it offers a solid specification and high-quality components that guarantee both safety and riding enjoyment.

The frame of the Contessa 26 disc is made from JR26 Susp Disc Alloy 6061 and features performance geometry. The SCOTT dropouts and IS brake mount ensure stability and durability. The maximum rider weight is 50 kg, whilst the bike itself weighs in at 13 kg.

Braking performance is provided by Tektro HD-M276 hydraulic disc brakes at both the front and rear. These are fitted with short brake levers, specifically designed for smaller hands. The brake discs each have a diameter of 160 mm, ensuring reliable braking power in a variety of conditions.

The bike’s gear system consists of a Shimano Acera RD-M3020 with 8 speeds, operated by a Shimano SL-RV400-8R Revo shifter. The front derailleur is a Shimano FD-M315-TS with a clamp size of 31.8 mm. This combination enables precise and smooth gear changes.

The SR Suntour XCE28 fork offers 100 mm of travel and is fitted with a softer spring to enhance comfort on uneven terrain. The crankset is from Prowheel and features a single 32-tooth chainring with a chain guard. The cassette is a Shimano CS-HG400 with an 11–40T range, offering a wide gear ratio.

The Contessa 26 disc is fitted with Feimin FP-803 pedals with reflectors and features a Feimin bottom bracket (BB68) with a cartridge and a square taper. The handlebars are aluminium Kids Riser Bars, 580 mm wide with a 20 mm rise, complemented by Syncros Kids100/80 grips.

The stem is also made of aluminium, measures 50 mm in length and has an angle of +10° as well as a clamp size of 25.4 mm. The headset is a Feimin FP-H807, semi-integrated with a size of 1 1/8".

The rims are Syncros X-20 Disc models, each with 32 black stainless steel spokes. The tyres are Kenda K1227 Booster in size 26x2.4" with a TPI of 30, fitted to both the front and rear. The hubs are Formula, model DC-19-F at the front and DC-25-8-R at the rear, both fitted with quick-release mechanisms and disc brake mounts.

The saddle is a Syncros Future Pro model, mounted on an aluminium seatpost with a diameter of 31.6 mm and a length of 350 mm. A handy kickstand is also included.

The packaging dimensions are 22 mm wide, 77 mm high and 136 mm long, with a gross weight of 17960 g. The model is available in one size.
