Scott Contessa 24 rigid

The "Contessa 24 rigid" model from Scott, released in 2024, is a high-quality children’s bike characterised by its robust construction and functional features. The frame is made from JR24 Rigid Disc, Alloy 6061, and features a semi-integrated head tube, SCOTT dropouts and IS mounts. The maximum load capacity is 50 kg, whilst the bike itself weighs 10 kg.

The braking system comprises Tektro SCM-02 mechanical disc brakes fitted to both the front and rear, complemented by 160 mm brake discs. The brake levers are specially designed for children and fitted with twist shifters. The gear system is a Shimano RD-TX800 Tourney with 8 speeds, operated by a Shimano SL-RV400-8R Revo shifter.

The fork is made from AL-6061 aluminium and is rigid, which contributes to the bike’s stability and durability. The drivetrain features a KMC Z8.3 chain, combined with a Prowheel aluminium crankset measuring 140 mm in length and a 32-tooth chainring. The cassette is a SunRace CSM55 with an 11–34T range.

The bike features an aluminium Kids Riser Bar handlebar, 560 mm wide with a 20 mm rise. The grips are Syncros Grips Kids100/80, which provide a secure grip. The stem is also made of aluminium and is 50 mm long with a +10° angle and a 25.4 mm clamp. The headset is a Feimin FP-H807, semi-integrated and with a diameter of 1 1/8".

The wheelsets consist of Alex C-1000 Disc rims, laced with 15G black spokes and fitted with Kenda K1227 Booster tyres in size 24x2.4" with 30 TPI. The hubs are by Formula: the DC-19-F model at the front and the DC-25-8-R model at the rear, both fitted with quick-release skewers.

The saddle is a Syncros Youth model, mounted on an aluminium seatpost with a diameter of 26.8 mm and a length of 300 mm. A handy kickstand is also included. The bike is available at a price of 499 EUR.

The packaging dimensions are 23 mm wide, 71 mm high and 125 mm long, with a gross weight of 820 g. The model is available in one size and is designated SCO Contessa 24 rigid.
