Scott Contessa 20 rigid

The "Contessa 20 rigid" model from Scott, released in 2024, is a high-quality children’s bike priced at 459 EUR. It features a robust frame made from JR20 Rigid Disc, Alloy 6061, with a semi-integrated head tube and SCOTT dropouts. The maximum load capacity is 50 kg, whilst the bike itself weighs just 9 kg, making it easy to handle.

Braking performance is provided by Tektro SCM-02 mechanical disc brakes at the front and rear, fitted with 160 mm brake discs. The brake levers are specially designed for children’s hands and are also from Tektro (Junior JL-510 TS / RS).

The bike’s gear system consists of a Shimano RD-TY300 rear derailleur with 7 speeds, operated via a Shimano SL-RV300-7 Revo shifter. This allows for easy and precise gear selection. The fork is a rigid AL-6061 fork, which provides additional stability.

The bottom bracket is a Feimin BB68 with a cartridge and square taper, whilst the crankset consists of a Prowheel aluminium crank with a length of 127 mm and a 36-tooth chainring, which is covered by a double chain guard. The cassette is a SunRace CSM40 with 7 speeds and a 11-34T range. Power is transmitted via a KMC Z7 chain.

Comfort and control are provided by a 540 mm wide aluminium Kids Riser Bar handlebar with a 20 mm rise, along with Syncros Kids100/80 grips. The stem is also made of aluminium and has a length of 50 mm and an angle of +10°. The headset is a Feimin FP-H807, semi-integrated with a 1 1/8" thread size.

The rims are Shining V-6NS Disc models, laced with 15G UCP black spokes. The tyres are Kenda K1227 Booster in size 20x2.4" with 30 TPI, fitted to both the front and rear. The hubs are from Formula: the DC-19F model at the front and the DC-25-7-R at the rear, both with quick-release skewers (QR).

The saddle is a Syncros Youth model, mounted on an aluminium seatpost with a diameter of 26.8 mm and a length of 250 mm. A handy kickstand is also included.

In terms of packaging dimensions, the bike is 109 mm wide, 62 mm high and 20 mm long. The gross weight is 13280 g. The model is available in one size and is designated SCO Contessa 20 rigid One size.
