Scott Contessa 20

The "Contessa 20" model from the "Scott" brand, released in 2024, is a bicycle designed specifically for young female cyclists. It is available for 399 EUR. The bike’s frame features a Contessa 20 Junior design with a low step-through height and is made from a lightweight and robust aluminium alloy (Alloy 6061). The semi-integrated headset and the SCOTT dropouts with V-brakes contribute to stability and safety. The maximum load capacity is 50 kg, whilst the bike itself weighs just 10 kg.

The braking system comprises Lee-Chi TX-119L V-brakes at the front and rear, which have been specially developed for children. The brake levers are Tektro JL-510 TS / RS, which are also designed with children in mind. The bike features a 7-speed Shimano derailleur (RD-TY300) and a Shimano SL-RS 36-7 Revo shifter, which allows for easy and precise gear selection.

The SR Suntour XCT-JR 20 fork offers 40 mm of travel and is fitted with a softer spring to enhance comfort for young riders. The pedals are by MARWI (SP-700) and feature reflectors for added safety. The bottom bracket is a Feimin BB68 with a cartridge and square taper.

The crankset consists of a Prowheel aluminium crank (127 mm) with a 36T chainring and a double chain guard. The cassette is a SunRace MFM300 with 7 speeds and a 13–34T range, whilst the drivetrain uses a KMC Z7 chain.

The handlebars are aluminium Junior flat bars with a width of 540 mm; the grips are Syncros Youth 100/80. The stem is a LEADTEC LCS-7130, 50 mm long with a clamp diameter of 25.4 mm. The headset is a Feimin FP-H807, semi-integrated with a diameter of 1 1/8".

The rims are Shining V-6NS, as are the spokes, which are black. Kenda K1227 Booster tyres (20x2.2", 30TPI) are fitted to both the front and rear. The front and rear hubs are KT-122F and KT-122R respectively, each with screw-on connections.

The saddle is a Syncros Youth model, mounted on an aluminium seatpost measuring 26.8 mm in diameter and 200 mm in length. A kickstand makes it easy to park the bike.

The bike is supplied in packaging measuring 21 mm wide, 63 mm high and 112 mm long, and has a gross weight of 14,300 g. The model is available in ‘one size’ and is designated SCO Contessa 20.
