Scott Contessa 14

The "Contessa 14" model from the "Scott" brand, released in 2024, is a high-quality children’s bike available for 349 EUR. It features a robust frame made from JR14 Coaster, Alloy 6061 with a curved top tube and a semi-integrated headset. The rigid, BMX-style fork is made from HiTen steel and is designed for V-brakes. The bike has a maximum load capacity of 50 kg and weighs just 7 kg itself, making it light and easy for children to handle.

The Contessa 14’s braking system consists of V-brakes at both the front and rear, operated by Tektro children’s levers. It features a simple single-speed drivetrain, with power transmitted via a KMC S1 chain. The crankset is a one-piece design with 28 teeth, whilst the sprocket has 18 teeth. The bottom bracket is made of steel and fitted with loose ball bearings.

The handlebars are 460 mm wide aluminium ‘Kids Riser Bars’ with a 20 mm rise, complemented by Syncros grips designed specifically for young children. The stem is also made of aluminium, measures 30 mm and has a 25.4 mm clamp. The semi-integrated headset has a diameter of 1 1/8".

The rims are made of black aluminium with 16 spoke holes and feature Schrader valves. The spokes are 15G UCP and also black. Both the front and rear tyres are Kenda K841 Contact in size 14x2.125". The front hub is the KT-183F model with 20 spoke holes and nut fastening, whilst the rear hub is the KT-305RB, fitted with 28 spoke holes and a coaster brake.

The saddle is a Syncros Contessa JR14, mounted on an aluminium seatpost measuring 26.8x160 mm. The bike also comes with children’s pedals, including reflectors. The gross weight of the entire package is 15560 g. The Contessa 14 is available in one size and offers young riders a safe and comfortable ride.
