Scott Axis eRIDE 20 Men

The "Axis eRIDE 20 Men" model from Scott, released in 2024, is a high-quality e-bike designed for discerning riders. Priced at 4199 EUR, it offers a wide range of technical and comfort-enhancing features.

The frame is made from 6061 alloy custom butted tubing and features an integrated, removable Bosch battery as well as internal cable routing. The maximum permissible weight is 128 kg, whilst the bike itself weighs 27 kg. This model is suitable for riders between 160 cm and 170 cm in height.

Braking performance is provided by Shimano BR-MT410 2-piston brakes at the front and rear, with 180 mm SM-RT30 CL rotors at the front and 180 mm RT-EM300M CL rotors at the rear. The drivetrain is a Shimano RD M8100SGS with 12 speeds, controlled by Shimano Deore Trigger SL-M6100RA shift levers. The fork is an SR Suntour XCM34 Coil with 120 mm of travel and a tapered design, designed for 29" wheels and fitted with a lock-out function.

For lighting, a Lezyne Hecto E65 headlight with 210 lumens is fitted at the front, whilst a Lezyne Fender rear light ensures visibility at the rear. The pedals are VP VPE-506, and the crankset consists of Miranda components with a length of 172.5 mm. The cassette is a Shimano CS-M6100-12 with a 10–51T range, and the drivetrain uses a KMC E12S chain.

The handlebars are Syncros 3.0, with a width of 720 mm, a rise of 20 mm and a backsweep of 8 degrees. The grips are Syncros Lock On Grips; the stem is also by Syncros and features a mount for the front light and the Intuvia 100 display. The headset is a semi-integrated Acros model.

The rims are Syncros X18 Disc, laced with black spokes and fitted with Schwalbe Johnny Watts 29x2.35" Wired tyres. The hubs are from Shimano: the front is an HB-MT400 with a 15x110 mm axle, and the rear is an FH-MT510B Boost with a 12x148 mm axle.

The saddle is a Syncros Capilano, mounted on a Syncros M3.0 seatpost with a diameter of 31.6 mm. Mudguards made from Curana aluminium profiles, along with an Ursus kickstand and an Axis by Racktime SnapIt 2.0 luggage rack, which can carry up to 25 kg, round off the specification.

Power is provided by a Bosch Performance CX BES3 motor with a PowerTube battery offering a capacity of 625 Wh. The Intuvia 100 display controls the bike and shows all key information, whilst the 4A charger quickly recharges the battery.

The frame geometry comprises a reach of 396 mm, a stack of 644 mm, a seat tube length of 420 mm and a top tube length of 580 mm. The head tube angle is 68 degrees and the seat tube angle is 74 degrees. Other dimensions include a head tube length of 120 mm, chainstay length of 500 mm, bottom bracket drop of 65 mm, fork offset of 47 mm, standover height of 780 mm, fork installation height of 523 mm, crank length of 173 mm, wheelbase of 1176 mm and a bottom bracket height of 312 mm.

This e-bike therefore offers a balanced mix of performance, comfort and versatility, making it ideal for a variety of uses.
