Lapierre XELIUS SL 5.0

The 2024 XELIUS SL 5.0 model from Lapierre is a high-quality road bike designed for demanding riders. With a price tag of € 2999, it offers a wide range of technical features that ensure both performance and comfort. The frame is made of Xelius SL Disc Thru axle UD Superlight Carbon, which gives the bike not only lightness but also stability. The permissible total weight is 110 kg, which ensures a solid load capacity.

The brakes are equipped with the Shimano 105 Disc system, which includes a 160 mm rotor at the front and a 140 mm rotor at the rear, ensuring reliable braking performance. The gears are also from Shimano, specifically the 105 R7000 model with 12 gears, which, together with the Shimano 105 R7100 front derailleur, enables precise and smooth shifting. The fork is rigid, which reduces weight and improves power transmission.

The pedals are the VP-335 Clips&Strap, which are versatile. The bottom bracket is the Shimano Press Fit BB71-41B, which ensures efficient power transmission. The crankset is the Shimano 105 R7100 with a gradation of 50-34T, whereby the length varies depending on the frame size: 170 mm for XS and S, 172.5 mm for M and L, and 175 mm for XL. The cassette is the Shimano R7100 with a gradation of 11-34T and also 12 gears.

The drivetrain is completed by the Shimano 105 CN-M7100 chain. The handlebars are made of Lapierre aluminium alloy and vary in width depending on the frame size: 400 mm for XS and S, and 420 mm for M, L and XL. The grips are wrapped with Lapierre Vexgel tape for comfort. The stem is also from Lapierre and offers different lengths depending on the frame size.

The headset is an integrated Acros system with Xelius Acros spacers. The tyres are Continental Ultra Sport III in size 28-622, which are mounted on a Lapierre Road 700c aluminium wheelset and ensure good traction and durability. The saddle is the Selle Italia Model X Superflow with a width of 145 mm, mounted on a Lapierre aluminium seatpost with a diameter of 27.2 mm and a length of 350 mm. This bike combines high-quality components with a well thought-out design to offer optimum performance on the road.
