Lapierre Pulsium 3.0

The 2022 Lapierre Pulsium 3.0 is a bike model that stands out for its high-quality components and the use of state-of-the-art materials. The bike’s frame is made from Pulsium Disc thru-axle UD carbon, which ensures high stability and low weight. The fork is also made from 100% carbon, which contributes to the bike’s overall performance.

For the brakes, Lapierre has opted for the Shimano Tiagra BR-R4700 system, which delivers reliable braking power. The gear components are also from the Shimano Tiagra range, including the RD-R4700-GS 10-speed rear derailleur, the FD-R4700F front derailleur and the ST-R4700 shift levers with a 2x10-speed drivetrain. These components offer precise and smooth shifting performance.

The bottom bracket is a Shimano Press Fit SMBB7141B, whilst the crankset is a Shimano Tiagra FC-R4700 with 50-34T, with the crank arm length varying depending on frame size: 170mm for XS/S, 172.5mm for M/L and 175mm for XL. The cassette is a Shimano HG500 11-34T with 10 speeds, supported by a Shimano HG54 chain.

The handlebar system consists of a Lapierre aluminium handlebar with a width of 400mm for XS/S and 420mm for M/L/XL, complemented by Lapierre handlebar tape for comfort. The stem is also made of aluminium and features internal cable routing with a diameter of 31.8mm, with the length varying depending on frame size: 80mm (S), 90mm (M), 100mm (L) and 110mm (XL). The headset is an Acros AIX-532 IS52/28.6 – IS52/40.

The wheelsets consist of Ryde Chrina rims measuring 622x13 with 32 spoke holes. The tyres are Continental Ultra Sport 3 SL in size 700x25, which provide a good balance between speed and grip. The hubs are by Shimano, with the front hub model RS300 and the rear hub model FHRS300, both with 32 spoke holes.

The saddle is a Selle Italia X3 Boost, mounted on a Lapierre aluminium seatpost with a diameter of 27.2mm and a length of 350mm. For added safety and comfort, VP-335 Clips&Strap pedals are included. The Lapierre Pulsium 3.0 thus offers a balanced combination of performance and comfort at a price of 2149 EUR.
