Lapierre E-Urban 4.4

The "E-Urban 4.4" model from Lapierre, released in 2022, is a versatile e-bike designed for urban use. Priced at 2,599 euros, it offers solid specifications and reliable performance. At the heart of the E-Urban 4.4 is the “New e-Urban Bosch Integrated” frame, which seamlessly integrates the Bosch Active Line Plus motor. The motor provides assistance up to speeds of 25 km/h and is powered by a Bosch PowerTube 400 battery with a capacity of 400 Wh, ensuring sufficient range in urban environments. The Purion display allows for simple and intuitive control of the electric assistance.

The braking system consists of Shimano MT200 disc brakes, which ensure reliable deceleration. The gear system is a Shimano Tourney RD-TX800 with 8 speeds, operated via the Shimano SL-M315 shifter with an optical gear indicator. This combination offers a suitable range of gears for everyday city cycling. The RST Volant fork, with 50 mm of travel, helps absorb bumps and enhances riding comfort.

Pedal power is transmitted via the Lapierre Overvolt BNI crankset, which has a length of 170 mm and a 38-tooth chainring, complemented by the Shimano Altus CS-HG31 cassette with an 11–34T range. The drivetrain is completed by the KMC E8 Sport EPT chain.

The Lapierre aluminium handlebar, 640 mm wide with a 25 mm rise, combined with the XLC Ergonomic grips, offers a comfortable and ergonomic hand position. The stem is adjustable, allowing the handlebars to be set at angles ranging from 0 to 70 degrees, enabling customisation to suit the rider’s preferences.

The Ryde ECO21 rims are fitted with Continental Contact Urban tyres, which ensure safety and good grip thanks to their SafetyPro technology and PureGrip compound. The reflective strips on the tyres further enhance visibility in traffic. The hubs are Shimano TX505B models, fitted with the Centre Lock system, which ensures easy maintenance.

The Selle Royal Wave saddle offers comfort on longer rides, whilst the Lapierre aluminium seatpost, with a diameter of 31.6 mm and a length of 350 mm, ensures a stable connection to the frame. Overall, the Lapierre E-Urban 4.4 is a well-equipped e-bike that is ideal for everyday use in the city, offering a balanced combination of performance, comfort and safety.
