Lapierre E-Urban 3.4

The 2022 Lapierre E-Urban 3.4 model is a versatile electric bike designed specifically for urban use. Priced at 2299 EUR, it offers a balanced combination of performance and comfort. The bike’s frame is an Overvolt Urban Low Step Semi-Integrated Bosch model, which ensures easy handling and a comfortable step-through. It is powered by the Bosch Active Line motor, which provides assistance up to a speed of 25 km/h, alongside a Bosch PowerPack 400 battery offering a capacity of 400 Wh. The Bosch Purion display ensures easy control and provides an overview of the key riding data.

The E-Urban 3.4 is fitted with Shimano MT200 brakes, which ensure reliable and safe braking. The gear system consists of a SHIMANO TOURNEY RD-TX800 with 8 speeds, which can be operated via the Shimano SL-M315 gear lever with an optical gear indicator. The bike’s fork is an SR SUNTOUR NEX-E25 with 63 mm of travel, which effectively absorbs bumps in the road.

The bike is fitted with VP VPE-461 pedals and a LAPIERRE OVERVOLT BNI crankset, which has a length of 170 mm and a 38T narrow-wide chainring. The cassette is a Shimano Altus CS-HG31 with a range of 11–34T and 8 speeds, whilst the drivetrain is powered by a KMC X8 chain.

The E-Urban 3.4’s handlebars are a Lapierre Steel model with a width of 620 mm, a rise of 75 mm and a backsweep of 50°, which promotes a comfortable riding position. The grips are ergonomic models from XLC, which offer additional comfort. The stem is by Lapierre and has an angle of 35° and a length of 150 mm.

Ryde ZAC421 rims have been used for the wheels, available in sizes 559x21C for the small frame size (S) and 622x21C for the medium and large frame sizes (M/L). The tyres are Schwalbe Impac BigPac in sizes 47-559 (S) and 47-622 (M/L) for the front and rear wheels respectively. The hubs are Shimano TX505B models with quick-release skewers and Centre Lock disc brake mounts.

The saddle is a Selle Royal Wave model, mounted on a Lapierre aluminium seatpost with a diameter of 31.6 mm, a length of 300 mm and an offset of 5 mm. Overall, the Lapierre E-Urban 3.4 offers a well-thought-out specification that combines comfort, functionality and reliability for everyday use in the city.
