Lapierre E-Explorer FS 9.7

The 2022 Lapierre E-Explorer FS 9.7 is a versatile e-mountain bike that stands out for its well-thought-out features and robust construction. The frame features a new Overvolt FS design with 140 mm of suspension travel and an integrated Bosch Supreme 5 Aluminium motor, fitted with UDH dropouts and prepared for the fitting of a kickstand and mudguards. The price for this model is 5199 EUR.

Reliable braking performance is provided by the Shimano M4100 brakes, featuring four pistons at the front and two pistons at the rear. Gear changes are handled by the Shimano Deore RD-M5100 11-speed Shadow+ system, complemented by the Shimano Deore SL-M5100 shift lever. The RockShox 35 Silver TK Air fork, with 140 mm of travel and Boost standard, offers a comfortable ride, whilst the Lapierre metric shock absorber provides additional damping.

The bike is fitted with VP VPE-527 pedals, and the crankset consists of a Lapierre Overvolt ISIS with different lengths depending on frame size (165 mm for S/M and 170 mm for L/XL) and an FSA Megatooth chainring with 38 teeth. The Shimano Deore CS-M5100 cassette offers a gear range of 11–51T with 11 speeds, whilst the drivetrain is supported by a KMC E11 Turbo chain.

The handlebars are made from Lapierre 6061DB alloy, with a width of 720 mm for sizes S/M and 740 mm for L/XL, a rise of 15 mm and a diameter of 31.8 mm. The grips are tailored to the frame size, with a small diameter for S/M and a large diameter for L/XL. The stem is a CNC-machined Lapierre model with a 0° angle and a length of 45 mm (S/M) or 50 mm (L/XL).

Riding comfort is ensured by the Selle Royal Vivo Ergo Reflective saddle, mounted on a Lapierre telescopic seatpost with a diameter of 31.6 mm and a travel of 100 mm (S), 130 mm (M) or 150 mm (L/XL), operated via a Shimano lever. The wheels are fitted with Lapierre eAM+ rims, which are tubeless-ready, and Schwalbe Johnny Watts tyres in size 65-584, offering good grip and puncture protection.

The hubs are also from Lapierre, with two sealed bearings at the front and four sealed bearings at the rear, both to the Boost standard and featuring the Centre Lock system. The bike is powered by the Bosch Performance Line CX motor, which provides assistance up to 25 km/h, combined with a Bosch PowerTube battery with a capacity of 750 Wh. Control is via an LED remote display. This model offers a balanced blend of performance, comfort and versatility for discerning e-mountain bike enthusiasts.
