Lapierre E-Explorer 8.7 Low

The 2023 Lapierre E-Explorer 8.7 Low is a versatile e-bike, equipped with a wide range of high-quality components and priced at 4,499 EUR. The bike’s frame is made from the robust Overvolt HT Mix Integrated Bosch Supreme 5 Alloy and is designed for use with a UDH dropout, as well as a kickstand and mudguards. Weighing 23 kg, the bike offers a solid balance between stability and manoeuvrability.

Braking performance is provided by the Shimano MT401 brakes, featuring four pistons at the front and two at the rear, ensuring reliable deceleration. Gear changes are handled by the Shimano Deore M5120 10-speed system and the matching Shimano Deore M4100 shift levers. The RockShox 35 Silver TK Coil fork, with 120 mm of travel and Boost standard, ensures comfort and control on uneven terrain.

The lighting comprises a Trelock Bike-I VEO 50 front light and a PIMENTO XE rear light with an integrated brake light, providing additional safety. The pedals are VP VPE-527, whilst the crankset is the Lapierre Overvolt ISIS, combined with an FSA Megatooth chainring with 38 teeth. The cassette is a Shimano Deore M4100 with an 11–46T range.

The drivetrain is supported by a KMC e10 Sport chain in silver and black. The Lapierre Alloy 6061DB handlebars are 680 mm wide with a 15 mm rise, whilst the stem has a 17° angle. The headset is a Canecreek ZS44 Viscoset with a black anodised finish.

The wheelset consists of Shimano MT400 hubs and LP DB-X40 rims, which ensure stability and durability. The saddle is a Selle Royal Vivo Ergo Sport designed specifically for women, mounted on an XLC suspension seatpost for added comfort. A custom luggage rack, which is MIK-compatible, offers flexible transport options.

The e-bike is powered by the Bosch Performance Line CX motor, which is designed for speeds of up to 25 km/h. The Bosch Powertube battery, with a capacity of 750 Wh, ensures a long range, whilst the Bosch LED remote display allows for easy control and monitoring of the systems.
