Lapierre E-Explorer 6.5 Low

The "E-Explorer 6.5 Low" model from Lapierre, launched in 2023, is a versatile e-bike designed for both urban use and longer tours. Priced at 3,699 euros, it offers a solid range of features and modern technology. The frame is made from an Overvolt Explorer Low Step Integrated Bosch Supreme 5 aluminium alloy, which ensures not only stability but also a low weight of 23 kg.

The e-bike is fitted with Shimano MT200 dual-piston brakes, which provide reliable braking power. The drivetrain is fitted with the Shimano Deore M5120, a 10-speed system featuring Shadow+ technology, which ensures precise and smooth gear changes. This is complemented by the Shimano Deore M4100 shifter with an optical gear indicator. The fork is an SR Suntour NEX-E25 DS with a tapered QR9x100 and offers 63 mm of travel, ensuring comfort on uneven terrain.

For road safety, the e-bike is fitted with the Axendo 30 NEW front light, which offers a brightness of 30 lux, as well as an integrated rear light on the Tubus luggage rack. The pedals are VP VPE-461, whilst the crankset is from the Lapierre Overvolt ISIS range, with a length of 170 mm. The cassette is a Shimano Deore M4100 with an 11–46T range. Power is transmitted via a KMC e10 Sport Silver-black chain.

The handlebars are made from Lapierre Alloy 6061DB and have a width of 680 mm, a rise of 15 mm and a backsweep of 25°, with a diameter of 31.8 mm. The grips are ergonomic models from XLC. The stem is adjustable within a range of 0–50° and also has a diameter of 31.8 mm and a length of 80 mm. The steering system is complemented by a Canecreek ZS44 Viscoset headset.

The wheelset consists of Fastace hubs and Schûrmann Yak 25 rims. The front hub is a Lapierre DA210 with two sealed bearings, whilst the rear hub has four sealed bearings; both are non-Boost and feature Centre Lock. The saddle is the Selle Royal Vivo Ergo Sport women’s model and is mounted on an XLC seatpost with 40 mm of travel.

The luggage rack is Tubus/Racktime-compatible, offering flexibility when carrying luggage. The e-bike is powered by a Bosch Performance Line motor, which provides assistance up to a speed of 25 km/h. The integrated Bosch Powertube battery has a capacity of 500 Wh and is controlled via a Bosch LED remote display, making it easy to operate. Overall, the E-Explorer 6.5 Low offers a balanced combination of comfort, performance and functionality, making it an attractive option in the e-bike segment.
