Lapierre E-Explorer 4.5 LS

The 2022 "E-Explorer 4.5 LS" from Lapierre is an e-bike that stands out thanks to its well-thought-out features and the use of high-quality components. The bike’s frame is made from the new Overvolt Explorer Low Step Integrated Bosch Supreme 5 alloy, which offers both stability and a comfortable ride. The price for this model is 2999 EUR.

Braking performance is provided by the Shimano MT200 braking system, which ensures reliable and controlled braking. The gear system consists of a Shimano Altus RD-M2000, 9-speed Shadow rear derailleur, which, in combination with the Shimano Alivio SLM3100 shifter with optical gear indicator, ensures precise gear changes. The bike’s fork is an SR Suntour NEX E-25 Tapered QR9x100 with 63 mm of travel, which effectively absorbs bumps on the trail.

The e-bike is fitted with VP VPE-461 pedals and features a LAPIERRE OVERVOLT BNI crankset with a length of 170 mm and a 38T narrow-wide chainring. The stem is an XLC model, adjustable within a range of 0–50° and measuring 80 mm in length. The headset is a Canecreek ZS44 Viscoset in black anodised finish, suitable for fork steerer tubes from 1.1/8" to 1.5". The Schürmann Yak25 rims, with 32 spokes and silver eyelets, are robust and support the WTB Intersector tyres, which are fitted to both the front and rear wheels. These tyres measure 58–584 mm and feature Dual DNA technology, which ensures good traction.

The hubs are Lapierre DA210 models, with the front hub having two sealed bearings and the rear hub having four sealed bearings. Neither hub complies with the Boost standard and both feature Centre Lock mountings. The saddle is a Selle Royal Vivo Ergo Reflective Women model, designed specifically for women, whilst the seatpost is made from Lapierre 6061 aluminium with a diameter of 31.6 mm.

The e-bike’s motor is from Bosch and is the Active Line Plus model, which assists up to speeds of 25 km/h. The Bosch PowerTube battery, with a capacity of 400 Wh, provides the necessary power for longer rides, whilst the Purion display ensures easy operation and a clear overview of key ride data.
