Lapierre E-Explorer 4.4 LS

The 2022 Lapierre E-Explorer 4.4 LS is an electric bike designed for both city commuting and leisurely rides in the countryside. Priced at €2,799, it offers a solid specification designed for reliability and comfort. The frame is made from the new Overvolt Explorer Low Step Integrated Bosch Supreme 5 Alloy, ensuring a robust yet lightweight construction.

Braking performance is provided by Shimano MT200 brakes, which are renowned for their reliability. The gear system is supported by a Shimano Altus RD-M2000, 9-speed Shadow System, whilst the Shimano Alivio SLM3100 shift levers are fitted with a visual gear indicator. This combination enables smooth and precise gear changes.

The suspension is complemented by the SR Suntour NEX E-25 fork with 63 mm of travel, which ensures a comfortable ride. The pedals are VP VPE-461, which offer a secure grip. The crankset consists of a Lapierre Overvolt BNI with a length of 170 mm and a 38T narrow-wide chainring, which, in combination with the Shimano HG200 11-36T 9-speed cassette and the KMC e9 Sport Silver-black drivetrain to ensure efficient power transfer.

The Lapierre alloy 6061DB handlebars are 660 mm wide, with a 26 mm rise and a 30° backsweep, enabling an ergonomic riding position. The XLC ergonomic grips and the adjustable XLC stem further enhance comfort. The headset is a Canecreek ZS44 Viscoset with a black anodised finish.

The Schürmann Yak25 rims with 32 spokes and the WTB Intersector tyres (58-584) offer stability and grip on a variety of surfaces. The hubs are Lapierre DA210, with two sealed bearings at the front and four at the rear, ensuring durability.

The Selle Royal Vivo Ergo Reflective Women’s saddle and the Lapierre aluminium seatpost provide additional comfort on longer rides. Power is provided by the Bosch Active Line Plus motor, offering assistance up to 25 km/h. The Bosch PowerTube battery, with a capacity of 400 Wh, ensures a sufficient range, whilst the Purion display clearly shows all the important information.
