Lapierre AEROSTORM DRS

The 2024 model "AEROSTORM DRS" from Lapierre presents itself as an ultra-modern racing bike that has been specially developed for ambitious riders. With a price tag of EUR 9399, it is aimed at discerning customers who value quality and performance. The frame of the AEROSTORM DRS is made of Aerostorm DRS Disc thru axle UD Superlight Carbon, which is known as Techno Carbon Team, and offers an excellent balance between lightness and stability. The permissible total weight is 110 kg, which guarantees a solid construction and a high load capacity.

The bike is equipped with Shimano Ultegra disc brakes with 160/140 mm discs for reliable braking performance. Shifting is via the Shimano Ultegra Di2 R8150 system with 12 gears, while the front derailleur is from the high-quality Shimano Dura-Ace Di2 R9250 series. The rigid fork contributes to aerodynamic efficiency and the VP-335 Clips&Strap pedals offer a secure grip and efficient power transmission.

The bottom bracket is a Shimano Press Fit BB7241B, which comes in combination with the Shimano Dura-Ace R9200 crankset (54-40T) in different lengths depending on the frame size (170mm for S, 172.5mm for M and L, 175mm for XL). The crankset is a Shimano Ultegra R8100 with a gradation of 11-30T for 12 gears, which together with the Shimano CN-M7100 drivetrain ensures precise and smooth gear changes.

The handlebar is an integrated TT cockpit from Lapierre made of UD carbon with carbon extensions, a width of 400mm (axle to axle) and different stem lengths (70mm for S, 85mm for M, 100mm for L/XL). The grips are wrapped with Lapierre Vexgel tape, which increases comfort and grip. The headset is an FSA 1"1/8 1"1/4 Orbit C-33 with a 15mm top cover.

The Continental GP5000S TR tyres in size 28-622 offer excellent grip and rolling resistance on the road. The wheelset consists of DT Swiss ARC 1400 Dicut rims with a depth of 80/62mm, which are optimised for aerodynamics and speed. The saddle is a Prologo Dimension Tri with Tirox rails and the Lapierre Aero TT Carbon seatpost rounds off the aerodynamic design. All in all, the AEROSTORM DRS is a well thought-out and powerful racing bike that leaves nothing to be desired.
