KTM MACINA CENTRAL 5 RT

The "MACINA CENTRAL 5 RT" model from KTM, released in 2022, is a high-quality e-bike designed for urban use. Priced at 3299 EUR, it offers a wide range of technical and ergonomic features that enhance riding comfort and safety.

The e-bike’s frame is made from Macina City US Disc Alloy 6061 and is fitted with a Bosch Gen.3 motor, which delivers 65Nm of torque and enables a maximum speed of 25 km/h. The battery, a Bosch PowerPACK with a capacity of 500 Wh, ensures sufficient range and is charged using the Bosch COMPACT Charger 2A. The maximum permissible weight is 146 kg, whilst the bike itself weighs 26 kg.

Braking performance is provided by Shimano MT200 hydraulic disc brakes, with a front brake disc (Shimano RT30 CL 180) and a rear brake disc (RTC60 5-bolt 160). Gear changes are controlled via a Shimano Nexus hub, operated by a Shimano Nexus 5 Revoshifter. The Suntour NEX-E25 coil NLO fork offers 63 mm of travel, providing additional comfort on uneven roads.

Lighting is provided by the B&M Lumotec DOPP LED front light (35 lux) and the B&M Toplight 2C LED rear light. The pedals are non-slip VP-616 trekking pedals. The crankset consists of KTM LINE BNI 170mm Q16 components and the chainring has 30 teeth.

The handlebars are KTM Line Noirette Plus, 660mm wide, and are complemented by Ergon GP1 grips. The stem is adjustable (KTM Line UP3, adjustable 0–90°) and the headset is a Ritchey OE Zero Logic 1.1/8". The tyres are Conti e-Contact Plus 50-622 Reflex at both the front and rear, fitted to a wheelset with Shimano hubs (front: Shimano Acera M3050 CL, rear: Shimano Nexus 5 Disc).

The Selle Royal Essenza+ saddle, mounted on a KTM Line Elegance Suspension seatpost, provides additional comfort. Mudguards from SKS (B55 55mm black glossy spoiler) and a chain guard (SKS Chainbow 38T) offer protection against dirt and wet conditions. An adjustable kickstand (KTM 28" adjustable) and a luggage rack (KTM Tour Snap-It 1.0) round off the specification.

The e-bike’s display is a Bosch INTUVIA LCD display with a remote control, which clearly shows all the key information and is easy to use.
