KAYZA Spodic 6.9 Hardtai

The 2023 KAYZA Spodic 6.9 Hardtail is a mountain bike that stands out for its solid spec and attractive value for money. Priced at 999 euros, it is aimed at ambitious beginners and advanced riders who value quality and reliability. The frame is made from robust 6061 aluminium and, with a frame size of 50 cm, provides a stable base for dynamic rides. The maximum load capacity is 130 kg, which offers sufficient capacity for both rider and luggage.

The braking system comprises TEKTRO “HD-M280” disc brakes, fitted with 180 mm TEKTRO “TR180-35” brake discs at both the front and rear. These ensure reliable braking performance under a wide range of conditions. The drivetrain is dominated by SHIMANO components, featuring a 27-speed SHIMANO “Acera” groupset, complemented by SHIMANO “Altus” shifters and a front derailleur. This enables precise gear changes and good adaptation to different types of terrain.

The fork is a SUNTOUR “SF16-XCM-DS-RL-29” with 100 mm of travel, which effectively absorbs shocks and thus ensures comfort on uneven terrain. The bike is fitted with VP “536” pedals, which are mounted in a SHIMANO “BB-UN 101” bottom bracket. The handlebars, a CONTEC “Moab”, have a diameter of 31.8 mm, a width of 740 mm and a rise of 15 mm, enabling an ergonomic riding position. The grips are CONTEC “MTB Straight long”, which provide a secure grip. The stem, also from CONTEC, measures 70 mm and is matched to the handlebars.

The rims are KAYZA hollow-section “X17”, designed for disc brakes, and are fitted with MAXXIS “Rekon” tyres in size 29x2.25. This combination offers both stability and traction on a variety of surfaces. The black stainless steel spokes and SHIMANO hubs complete the wheelset.
