KAYZA Hydric 8.9 Hardtai

The "Hydric 8.9 Hardtail" model from KAYZA, released in 2023, is a high-quality e-mountain bike which, at a price of 3,899 EUR, is positioned in the upper mid-range. The frame is made from 6061 aluminium and is specifically designed to integrate the Bosch system, giving the bike an elegant look and robust stability. With a frame height of 52 cm and a maximum load capacity of 130 kg, it offers sufficient load-bearing capacity for the rider and any luggage.

The Hydric 8.9’s braking system comprises SRAM “DB8 DFBA 20P” components, which are used for both the brakes and the brake levers. Braking power is provided by 180 mm SRAM “DB Centerline” brake discs on both the front and rear wheels, ensuring reliable deceleration. The drivetrain is a 12-speed SRAM “SX Eagle”, operated by a Single Click Trigger shifter, which enables precise and rapid gear changes.

A comfortable ride is ensured by the SUNTOUR “SF18-XCR34-AIR-Boost-LOR-DS-15QLC32-110-29” fork, which features 120 mm of travel and thus provides good shock absorption even on rough terrain. The VP “VPE-506” pedals in black offer a secure grip. Power is provided by a fourth-generation BOSCH mid-drive motor, the “Performance CX” model, which operates at a voltage of 36 V and a power output of 250 W. The battery, a BOSCH “PowerTube 625” with a capacity of 625 Wh, ensures that even longer rides are possible without frequent recharging.

The bike is fitted with CONTEC “Moab” handlebars, which have a diameter of 31.8 mm and a width of 740 mm, ensuring optimum control. The grips are also by CONTEC and offer comfort on longer rides. The stem, also by CONTEC, measures 70 mm and contributes to the stability of the handling.

The wheels consist of KAYZA “X18” hollow-chamber rims and are fitted with MAXXIS “Rekon” tyres in size 29x2.4, mounted on both the front and rear. The hubs are by FORMULA, with the “DC-511” model at the front and the “EHL-148S” at the rear, each with 32 holes, ensuring a solid wheel construction. The SR “Vivo Sport Ergo” saddle offers comfort for longer rides and is mounted on a CONTEC “Pillar” seatpost.

In addition, the Hydric 8.9 features a transparent chain guard system from BLASE and a CONTEC “Powerlock” battery lock, which secures the battery in place. The BOSCH “Intuvia 100” display provides all the key information at a glance and rounds off the technical package of this e-mountain bike.
