KAYZA Hydric 8.7 Hardtai

The "Hydric 8.7 Hardtail" from KAYZA, released in 2023, is a high-performance e-mountain bike that stands out thanks to its well-thought-out features and robust construction. The frame is made from 6061 aluminium and incorporates the fourth-generation Bosch “Performance CX” mid-drive motor with an output of 250 watts and 36 volts. The frame measures 44 cm and is designed for a maximum rider weight of up to 130 kg.

Reliable braking performance is provided by SRAM’s “DB8 DFBA 20P” hydraulic disc brakes, which are fitted with 180 mm “DB Centerline” brake discs at both the front and rear. The drivetrain offers a wide range of gear ratios thanks to the 12-speed SRAM “SX Eagle” system, operated via the “SX Eagle Single Click Trigger” shifter. Suspension is provided by the SUNTOUR “SF18-XCR34-AIR-Boost-LOR-DS-15QLC32-110-27.5” fork with 100 mm of travel, ensuring a comfortable ride over uneven terrain. The wheels are fitted with MAXXIS “Rekon” tyres in size 27.5x2.4, mounted on KAYZA “X18” hollow-section rims. The hubs are from FORMULA; the front hub is the “DC-511” model and the rear hub is the “EHL-148S” model, both with 32 holes.

The handlebars are CONTEC “Moab” with a diameter of 31.8 mm and a width of 740 mm, whilst the stem is also from CONTEC – the “Forge” model – with a length of 70 mm. Comfort is provided by the SR “Vivo Sport Ergo” saddle, mounted on a CONTEC “Pillar” seatpost with a diameter of 31.6 mm and a length of 400 mm.

The drive is powered by the BOSCH “PowerTube 625” battery with a capacity of 625 Wh, which can be charged using a Bosch 4 A charger. The BOSCH “Intuvia 100” display offers four assistance levels as well as a push assist, making the e-bike easier to operate. A transparent chain guard is fitted to protect the drive system, whilst the CONTEC “Powerlock” battery lock ensures the battery’s security.
