HoheAcht AMO URBO

The AMO URBO model from HoheAcht, launched in 2022, is a versatile e-bike designed to offer a comfortable and safe ride thanks to its technical specifications and features. Priced at 4099 EUR, the bike offers a good balance between performance and features. It has a maximum permissible weight of 150 kg and a kerb weight of 27 kg, making it robust and stable.

Braking performance is provided by Shimano hydraulic disc brakes – specifically the VR BR-MT200 and HR BR-MT200 models – which are fitted with the matching BL-MT200 3-finger brake levers. The front and rear brake discs each measure 180 mm and are fitted with Centre Lock systems. The drivetrain consists of a 5-speed Shimano Steps hub gear system, operated via the Nexus SL-C7000 gear lever.

The SR Suntour XCM32 suspension fork, with 100 mm of travel, ensures comfortable suspension on uneven terrain. For lighting, the AMO URBO is fitted with a Herrmans H-Black MR8 LED front light and a Herrmans H-Cargo rear light, both of which ensure good visibility.

Power is transmitted via a Gates belt with a 39T chainring and a 28-tooth pulley, driven by a Shimano Steps DU-EP8 mid-drive motor with an output of 85 Nm, which assists speeds of up to 25 km/h. The integrated battery has a capacity of 630 Wh and is charged using the Shimano Steps EC-E6002 charger.

The handlebars, stem and seatpost are made of aluminium, which contributes to the bike’s stability and lightness. The Kalloy – HoheAcht handlebars are 640 mm wide and ergonomically shaped. The Selle Royal Nuvola saddle provides additional comfort. The tyres are Continental CONTACT Cruiser in size 27.5'' x 2.4'', which, together with the Mach1 Trucky 30 rims, ensure good traction and stability.

Additional features such as the AtranVelo luggage rack with a load capacity of up to 27 kg, SKS mudguards, an AtranVelo kickstand and an ABUS lock round off the overall package. With a reach of 450 mm, a stack of 680 mm and other well-thought-out geometry specifications, the AMO URBO offers a comfortable riding position for the rider. The bike is therefore ideal for urban use as well as for longer rides.
