HNF Nicolai XD4 Eco Touring

The XD4 Eco Touring model from HNF Nicolai, launched in 2024, is a versatile e-bike characterised by its robust construction and high-quality components. The frame is made of aluminium and has a maximum load capacity of 150 kg, whilst the bike itself weighs 30 kg. Braking performance is provided by Magura brakes, with an MT5 caliper at the front and an MT4 at the rear, both fitted with 180 mm discs. The drivetrain is a Sunrace RDMS100 MD 10-speed system, operated via the Sunrace DLES33 RT shift lever.

The LENS Taigar 1 fork, with 130 mm of travel, ensures a comfortable ride on a variety of surfaces. Lighting is provided by the Supernova Mini 2 front light and the Supernova E3 TAIL LIGHT 2 rear light, which ensure good visibility even in poor lighting conditions. The pedals are from VP Components, model VPE-527, and offer a secure grip.

The bottom bracket is a Miranda Delta with a length of 170 mm, whilst the crankset is also from Miranda and is fitted with a 44T chainring and a bashguard. The cassette is a Sunrace CSMS2 TAZ E with an 11–46T range in black, and the drivetrain is powered by a Sunrace CN10E chain. The handlebars are Zoom MTB-AL-320BTFOV, 740 mm wide with a 9° bend, whilst the grips are WTB Wafel 30 mm clamp-on grips.

The stem is a rigid Zoom TDS-D601 with a length of 60 mm. The rims are WTB ST i30 TCS 2.0 disc measuring 30x584, fitted with Kenda El Capo tyres in size 60-584. The hubs are from KT: the MS6F model with Boost disc mount at the front and the 259R_DSE-QR Disc model at the rear.

The saddle is a Selle Royal Vivo Unitech, mounted on a Zoom SP-D329 seatpost with a diameter of 31.6 mm. The bike is also fitted with HNF aluminium multi-cavity extrusion mudguards and a Pletscher Optima Flex kickstand. The luggage rack is a Racktime for HNF, designed to carry loads of up to 25 kg and compatible with the Snap-It 2.0 system.

The XD4 Eco Touring is powered by a Bosch Smart System Performance Line CX motor, which draws its energy from a Bosch PowerTube battery with a capacity of 625 Wh. Control is via the Bosch Kiox display. The frame geometry offers a reach of 431 mm, a stack of 678 mm and a seat tube length of 450 mm. The price for this model is 4690 EUR.
