HNF Nicolai XD4 Adventure

The XD4 Adventure model from HNF Nicolai, launched in 2024, is a versatile e-bike characterised by its robust construction and high-quality specifications. Priced at 5,490 EUR, it offers a wide range of technical features suitable for both everyday use and longer rides. The aluminium frame has a maximum load capacity of 150 kg, whilst the bike itself weighs 32 kg.

The Magura brakes – an MT5 203mm at the front and an MT4 180mm at the rear – ensure reliable stopping power and safety. The drivetrain is a SunRace RDMZ600 with 12 speeds, controlled via the SunRace DLEZ33 RW shifter. This enables precise gear changes and optimal adaptation to different types of terrain. The RockShox Recon Silver fork, with 120mm of travel, offers additional comfort and control on uneven terrain.

For lighting, the XD4 Adventure is fitted with a Supernova Mini 2 front light and a Supernova M99 TL3 Pro Max rear light with brake light, ensuring good visibility. Power is provided by a SunRace CN12E system, supported by a Bosch Smart System Performance Line CX motor and a high-performance Bosch PowerTube battery with a capacity of 750 Wh. The Bosch Kiox 300 display provides all the necessary information on ride data and battery level.

The handlebars are Ergotec Low Riser Bar I, 740 mm wide with a 12° bend, combined with Ergon GP10 L grips for an ergonomic hand position. The adjustable Ergotec Sepia XL FI 50 stem allows for individual adjustment of the riding position. The Ryde Andra 29 rims are fitted with Schwalbe Johnny Watts tyres, which feature reflective strips for added safety on the road.

Further features include a Selle Royal ON Moderate saddle, an Ergotec Atar seatpost, and mudguards made from HNF aluminium multi-cavity extrusion. The bike also features a Pletscher Optima Flex kickstand, an Abus Bordo Granit folding lock for enhanced security, and a Racktime luggage rack with a load capacity of up to 25 kg, which supports the Snap-It 2.0 system.

With a seat tube length of 450 mm, a reach of 431 mm and a stack of 678 mm, the XD4 Adventure offers comfortable geometry for the rider. Overall, the HNF Nicolai XD4 Adventure is a well-equipped e-bike that impresses with its technical specifications and high-quality components.
