HNF Nicolai XD3 Adventure

The "XD3 Adventure" model from HNF Nicolai, launched in 2024, is a robust e-bike designed for a wide range of adventures. The aluminium frame contributes to a total weight of 28 kg, whilst the maximum load capacity of 150 kg ensures a high load-bearing capacity. The brakes are supplied by Magura, with an MT5 203mm brake at the front and an MT4 180mm brake at the rear, ensuring reliable braking performance.

The gear system is provided by the SunRace RDMZ600 with 12 speeds, controlled via the SunRace DLEZ33 RW shifter. The gear ratio is supported by a SunRace RDMZ800 sprocket with a range of 11–51T. The UDING air suspension fork, with 120 mm of travel, provides additional comfort.

Lighting is provided by the Supernova Mini 2 front light and the Supernova R-Light E3 Universal rear light. The pedals are either from VP Components (VPE-527) or Marwi (SP-120), depending on availability. The bottom bracket is a Miranda Delta with a length of 170 mm, whilst the crankset is fitted with a Miranda 42T, including a bashguard.

The handlebars are Ergotec Low Riser Bars, complemented by Ergon GP10 (GP1) L or Herrmans Line DD36 grips. The adjustable stem is an Ergotec Swell RE, 100 mm in length. The 27.5" Vuelta Disc Runner rims are fitted with WTB Intersector tyres featuring reflective strips for improved visibility.

The hubs are also from SunRace, with an HBMX88F at the front and an HBMX80R at the rear. The saddle is a Selle Royal Essenza Athletic, mounted on a Satori Trident or Ergotec Atar seatpost with a diameter of 31.6 mm.

The HNF aluminium multi-cavity extrusion mudguards and the Pletscher Optima Flex kickstand provide additional protection and functionality. An Abus Bordo 6000/90 Powertube IT2.1 XPlus lock provides security, whilst the Racktime luggage rack for HNF, which can carry up to 25 kg and is fitted with the Snap-It 2.0 system, offers additional storage space.

Power is provided by a Bosch Gen 4 Performance Line CX motor, powered by a Bosch PowerTube battery with a capacity of 625 Wh. The Bosch Intuvia display offers intuitive operation and an overview of ride data. With a reach of 445 mm, a stack of 638 mm and a seat tube length of 495 mm, the XD3 Adventure offers balanced geometry for a comfortable ride. The price for this fully equipped e-bike is 3990 EUR.
