HNF Nicolai UD4 All Terrain Edition

The "UD4 All Terrain Edition" model from HNF Nicolai, launched in 2024, is a versatile e-bike designed for challenging off-road riding. Priced at 5,990 EUR, this bike offers an impressive range of features and high-quality components. The frame is made of robust aluminium, which contributes to a maximum load capacity of 150 kg, whilst the bike itself weighs 33 kg.

The brakes are by Magura and provide reliable stopping power with the MT5 at the front (203 mm) and the MT4 at the rear (180 mm). The Enviolo CVP TR gear system, together with the Enviolo CT Pure twist grip, ensures infinitely variable gear ratio adjustment, enabling a total of 99 gears. The RockShox Recon Silver fork with 100 mm of travel provides additional comfort and control.

The lighting system comprises the Supernova Mini 2 front light and the Supernova M99 TL3 Pro Max rear light with integrated brake light, ensuring safety when riding at night. The pedals are from VP Components, whilst the bottom bracket is a Miranda Delta with a length of 170 mm. The crankset comprises a Gates CDX 55T with bashguard, complemented by a Gates CDX 24T sprocket and a Gates CDX 125T chain.

The handlebars are Ergotec Low Riser Bar/Ergotec Lady Town I, 650 mm wide with a 30° angle, combined with Ergon GP10 L grips for ergonomic comfort. The stem is an adjustable Ergotec Sepia XL FI 50 with a length of 90 mm. The rims are Ryde Andra 29 disc in size 29x584, fitted with WTB Groov-E FG tyres (62-584 Reflex) for excellent grip on a wide variety of surfaces.

The hubs are by Solon (front) and Enviolo (rear), with the rear hub also forming part of the Enviolo CVP TR system. The saddle is a Selle Royal ON Moderate, mounted on an Ergotec Atar seatpost with a diameter of 31.6 mm. Aluminium Multi Cavity Extrusion mudguards from HNF provide protection against splash water, whilst the Pletscher Optima Flex kickstand ensures the bike stands securely.

An Abus Bordo Granit 6500/120 XPlus folding lock provides security when parking the bike. The luggage rack is a Racktime for HNF, which can carry up to 25 kg and is compatible with the Snap-It 2.0 system. The bike is powered by the Bosch Smart System Performance Line CX motor, supported by a high-performance Bosch PowerTube battery with a capacity of 750 Wh. The Bosch Kiox 300 display offers intuitive controls and an overview of all key riding data.

With a reach of 412 mm, a stack of 696 mm and a seat tube length of 430 mm, the UD4 All Terrain Edition offers balanced geometry for comfortable rides across a wide variety of terrain.
